Privacy
The short version: what you type, paste or upload into the maker stays on your device. Nothing you write is sent to us or to anyone else.
Your one-pager stays on your device
- Text and notes. Everything you type or paste is laid out by code running in your browser. It is never uploaded.
- Paste from your website. When you paste text copied from a web page, the browser hands the copied headings and paragraphs to the maker on your device. The maker does not visit the website or fetch anything from it.
- Logos. A logo you add is shown from a temporary link inside your browser and drawn into your files on your device. It is never uploaded and never saved.
- Downloads. The PDF, Word, PowerPoint and PNG files are built in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server when you download.
What your browser keeps
So that a reload does not lose your work, the maker saves your current one-pager in this browser's local storage, under the name opt.draft.v1: the words, the type, the layout, the color, the paper and the footer setting. Your logo and your raw notes are not saved. The draft never leaves your device, and opening a sample from a link does not replace it until you edit. Press Start over in the maker (or Start fresh, before you open a saved one-pager) to delete it, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. The maker works without local storage too; it just cannot restore a draft.
Analytics
On most pages we use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and a few events, such as starting the maker, choosing a layout or downloading a file format. Events carry fixed values only (a layout name, a file format, a rounded count), never the words you write, your file names or your logo. Google Analytics loads after your first interaction with the page or a few seconds after it opens, and IP anonymization is requested.
Google Analytics does not load at all on the pages written for students and teachers: one pager ideas, the one pager layouts page and the blank one pager template page.
The contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, we receive the message, your email and your name if you give them, the time and the country your connection comes from. We use your email only to reply. To stop spam floods, the form counts messages using a salted one-way code made from your network address; the address itself is not stored.
What we never do
- Sell or rent any data.
- Show ads, run a newsletter or add you to a mailing list.
- Send your one-pager text, notes or logo anywhere.
